I am pleased to welcome you to the website of Mitsui Chemicals India, and I hope you have had a broader view of our organisation. We established our operations in India in the year 2008 and have come a long way in making strides to serve the invaluable market here.

Mitsui Chemicals Group, our Corporate Mission, aims to contribute broadly to society by providing high-quality products and services to customers through innovation and the creation of materials, while keeping in harmony with the global environment. We are also implementing a triple bottom line management approach based on economic, environmental, and social considerations, and working to solve social challenges through our business activities.

Within VISION 2030, we have envisioned a new four-part business portfolio. To both contribute to solving social challenges and achieve sustainable growth for the Mitsui Chemicals Group, we aim to move away from our historical business focused on materials supply, instead getting our entire Group and all our businesses to base themselves on:

At Mitsui Chemicals India, we promote many technologies developed by our parent company, Mitsui Chemicals Inc., as well as its group companies, which are useful in improving our everyday lives.

In line with the Government of India initiative of Make in India, we are working towards bringing the latest technology and products by way of Local Manufacturing in India.

Regarding packaging industries, CHEMIPEARL™, a heat-sealing material for paper packages, is driving the business through local production. Together with PUD for oxygen/water vapour barrier coatings and our Blue Value™ products, we will further expand our business to ensure our contribution towards de-plasticising society.

To support India’s semiconductor localisation initiatives represented by the India Semiconductor Mission, Mitsui Chemicals Group provides a wide range of functional materials, including dust-proof membranes (MITSUI PELLICLE™), and integrated circuit processing tapes such as ICROS™ Tape, as well as Polymer adhesive for Cu-Cu Hybrid Bonding. Through these products, we aim to support improvements in packaging reliability while contributing to the development of India’s semiconductor ecosystem.

In addition, we are focusing on expanding sales of high-performance elastomer resins for automotive transmission belts and airbags, and plastic eyeglass lens materials. We are in the process of exploring opportunities to provide new agrochemicals to the fast-growing Indian market and introduce biomass naphtha derivatives in basic chemicals.

We undertake several CSR initiatives to help the local community in India.
